Usfa .45 Acp Cylinder

Nov 21, 2019 · It is the Double Eagle model chambered in 45 Colt with a 3 1/2" barrel, Birdshead grip, and Bisley hammer. Everything that came with it is included except for the bag for the revolver. The end label on the box indicates that it has a spare 45 ACP cylinder. I bought it "as is" and no extra cylinder was included.

You can get a .45 ACP cylinder for a .45 Colt caliber Single Action Army, and you could order a SAA in just .45 ACP if you wanted to. The question is, is it safe to fire .45 ACP +P factory ammunition in a new Colt SAA? Does Colt expressly address this issue in SAA owner's manuals or otherwise? Thanks.

The .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) or .45 Auto (11.43×23mm) is a handgun cartridge designed by John Moses Browning in 1904, for use in his prototype Colt semi-automatic pistol. After successful military trials, it was adopted as the standard chambering for Colt's M1911 pistol, being named .45 ACP.

Even such oddballs as the .44 Colt and .41 Colt can be had. You can even get an extra .45 ACP cylinder for your .45 Colt if you desire. That brings me to another point. I found a Ruger .45 ACP cylinder on eBay that came from an old-model Blackhawk for a fairly reasonable price. Ruger used to provide their extra cylinders in a red felt bag; the spare cylinder for my Single-Six liberty gun had one. The problem with these bags was that they absorbed moisture.

This auction is for One USFA Double Eagle pistol. I have two of these, consecutive serial numbered. They both are the same. They both have an extra cylinder to shoot 45 ACP. I am the second owner. They come with the original box, socks and paper work. THEY ARE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. I have never fired them. They are very collectible.

I don't know if you have plans to shoot it, but I have a 7.5" USFA Single Action in .45 Colt with extra .45 ACP cylinder, and was surprised to see that it shot cloverleafs at 10 yards with hardball in the .45 ACP cylinder. I figured with the long jump from the throats to the forcing cone that it would not shoot as well as the .45 Colt cylinder.
